On August 17th, 2024, Joseph Johnson and Yontaneshia Durant were involved in an accident on South Cobb Drive at its intersection with Atlanta Rd.
Johnson stated that he was traveling northbound on South Cobb Drive. Johnson approached the intersection of South Cobb Drive and maneuvered into the right lane to turn onto Atlanta Rd. While attempting to come to a stop in the turn lane due to a red light, Johnson stated that his foot slipped off the brake due to water being on his shoe from the current rainy conditions outside. His vehicle then rear-ended Durant's vehicle.
Both vehicles sustained functional damage. Johnson was deemed at fault and was cited for following too closely.
