On May 16, 2021 Officer D C Meyerhoff was dispatched to the scene of an accident at 400 Northbound north of Abernathy Road.
The accident occurred at 03:39.
Mr. M Cuevas was driving a Toyota 4Runner and Mr. L Spencer was driving a Hyundai Veloster.
Mr. Cuevas was traveling northbound on 400NB just past Marta.
Mr. Spencer had been traveling northbound on 400NB when his vehicle ran out of gas just past Marta. His vehicle came to a halt in the roadway.
Mr. Spencer’s vehicle was blocking the far right lane.
Mr. Spencer had his flashers on, but Mr. Cuevas stated that he did not see the black vehicle in the roadway.
Mr. Cuevas rear-ended Mr. Spencer’s vehicle.
No injuries were reported and both vehicles were removed by A-Tow.
The weather and surface conditions were good, and the light condition was dark: not lighted.
Mr. Cuevas was given a verbal warning and Mr. Spencer was given a written warning for impeding the flow of traffic on a highway.
The accident was reported in Sandy Springs, Fulton County.
