On June 21, 2021, Officer V D Aguirre was dispatched to the scene of an accident at Spring Road SE east of Cumberland Parkway SE
The accident occurred at 09:34.
Ms. K Bare was driving a Jeep LRO and Mr. R Yco was driving a Lexus GS.
Ms. Bare stated that she was exiting the driveway of QT on Spring Road as she was attempting to cross west bound lanes into the left turn lane.
She further stated that vehicles stopped in the west bound lanes to allow her passage. She did not see Mr. Yco’s vehicle as she entered the left turn lane and collided with the driver’s front side.
Mr. Yco stated that he was traveling west in the left turn lane on Spring Road before the intersection with Cumberland Parkway when Ms. Bare’s vehicle collided with his vehicle.
Ms. Bare was cited in terms of O.C.G.A. 40-6-73 “Failure to yield when entering or crossing roadway”.
Moderate damage was caused to both vehicles, which were removed by their respective drivers.
Neither driver reported any injury.
The weather, surface conditions and light were all good.
The accident was reported in Smyrna, Cobb County.
