DON’T EAT AND DRIVE

On June 10, 2021, Officer T L Altman was dispatched to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Highway 5 and Arbor Parkway.

Mr. M Frost was driving a Ford LGT Convtnl and Ms. A Blackman was driving a Nissan Rogue Sport.

Both vehicles were traveling south on Highway 5 in the left straight lane.

Mr. Frost stated that he had stopped for the red light and his vehicle rolled forward into the back of Ms. Blackman’s vehicle.

Mr. Frost also stated that he was eating at the time, and this distracted him.

Ms. Blackman stated that she was stopped at the red light when Mr. Frost’s vehicle rear-ended hers.

Mr. Frost’s vehicle showed signs of previous damage as well as slight new damage.

Slight damage was caused to the rear of Ms. Blackman’s vehicle.

Mr. Frost was cited in terms of O.C.G.A. 40-6-49 “Following too closely”.

The weather was cloudy, surface conditions were wet and light conditions were good.

The accident was reported in Douglasville, Douglas County.
