On September 21st 2024, Anita Burnette and Kara Rhoades were involved in an accident on Bells Ferry Rd near the I 575 expressway.
Burnette was stopped going northbound on Bells Ferry Rd traveling in the left turn lane. Burnette started conducting a left turn and the passenger side of her vehicle was struck by front of Rhoade's vehicle. Burnette stated that she believed she had the green turn arrow. Rhoades stated that the southbound traffic light was green. A witness in the car behind Burnette's vehicle stated that the turning arrow was flashing yellow not green. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage from the accident.
Burnette was found at fault and was cited with failure to yield on left turn.
