Failure to Yield on Southbound on Hickory Flat Highway (Cherokee)

On February 14th, 2025, Mitchell Greene and Alina Malchanenko were involved in automobile accident on Hickory Flat Highway.

Green stated that he was traveling Southbound on Hickory Flat Highway when he entered the left turn lane to turn left into the Publix shopping center. He stated that a vehicle was stopped in order to allow him to make the left turn but when he began the turn, another vehicle coming down the road collided with his car. Malchanenko stated that she was traveling Northbound on Hickory Flat Highway when she entered the right lane to turn into the Publix, and that is when her vehicle was struck.

Both vehicles sustained disabling damage from the accident. Green was found to be at fault for the accident and was cited with failure to yield.
