On May 17th, 2024 Bobby Shelton and Brenda Lagunas were involved in an accident on East Cherokee Drive.
Lagunas was traveling north on E Cherokee Drive above Hickory Flat Highway when Shelton pulled out of a private roadway. Shelton attempted a left turn and collided with Lagunas vehicle. Shelton stated he was trying to pull out of the roadway and did not see Lagunas. A witness stated that Shelton was attempting the left turn and collided with Lagunas.
Both vehicles sustained functional damage. Shelton was determined at fault and cited with failure to obey traffic control device.
