On September 15th, 2024, Roberto Flores Banegas and Jeffrey Wilkie were involved in an auto accident on Bettis Tribble Gap Rd at its intersection with Sawnee Drive.
Banegas was traveling northound on Bettis Tribble Gap Rd approaching the intersection of Sawnee Drive. Wilkie was traveling west on Sawnee Drive approaching the same intersection. Wilkie had a green light and proceeded into the intersection. Banegas had a red light but continued through the intersection which resulted in a collision between the 2 vehicles. Wilkie lost control of his vehicle and hit a pedestrian crosswalk sign. Both vehicles sustained functional damage from the accident.
Banegas was found at fault for the accident and was cited with Failure to obey traffic signal and driving without a license.
