On February 6th, 2025, Earl Hollis and Josephine Johnson were involved in an automobile accident on Chapel Hill Rd at its intersection with Douglas Blvd.
Hollis was traveling Southbound on Chapel Hill Rd in the right turn lane to go Westbound on Douglas Blvd. Hollis stated that there was a car in front of him turning into the Luv's carwash and that he attempted to change lanes and go around them. Johnson stated that she was traveling Southbound on Chapel Hill Rd when a vehicle suddenly pulled out directly in front of her from the next lane over and caused a collision.
Both vehicles sustained functional damage from the accident. Hollis was found to be at fault for the accident and was cited with Improper Lane Change.
